Porches is located between the more well-known areas of Albufeira and Carvoeiro and has an undeniable authentic charm. Famous for showcasing artisan Portuguese pottery, you will find relaxed beaches and a chilled-out vibe here, not to mention the two Michelin-starred Ocean restaurant. If you choose a more relaxed dining experience, there are plenty of restaurants to choose from, many specialising in Algarvian cuisine and serving fresh fish of the day.

"Restaurants and beaches tend to be busy in the height of the summer. We suggest booking ahead if you can and especially if you are in a larger group. It is also a little hilly so some may prefer to walk to town but taxi back."
