Elegant rural retreat in the heart of the Minho region

Santa Maria is nestled in the picturesque landscape of the Minho region, just outside Ponte de Lima, the oldest village in Portugal. The property is surrounded by vineyards and cultivated fields creating a feeling of calm. The stunning gardens are full of established trees, plants and flowers, and there are lawned areas for children to play or to enjoy a garden picnic.

The elegant pastel-pink villa welcomes guests with a grand, sweeping driveway. The main living areas are on the upper floor, allowing guests to take full advantage of the lovely views.

The interior is a blend of old and new, with traditional dark, wooden furniture and a modern kitchen and facilities.

There is plenty to explore nearby, including the Serra D'Arga Natural Park and the Lima River Valley, as well as white sandy beaches at Viana do Castelo.

“While the cobbled streets add character to Porto’s historic neighbourhoods, they can be challenging for those with mobility concerns. Navigating the city involves hills and uneven surfaces, which might pose difficulties for individuals with limited mobility or those pushing strollers. We recommend you wear comfortable footwear when exploring the city.”

  • Although the villa has a flexible arrival day we cannot leave too many empty days between bookings. Please always check with us to make sure the dates you require are acceptable.
  • Booking deposit 30% of the villa rental or £250, whichever is the greater amount. Balance due 8 weeks before departure.
