Villa Cova is a splendid, three-storey property in Moledo, in the north of Portugal. The sands of Moledo extend from the fishing port over to the Ancora river, which reaches the coast following a 15km descent from the Serra de Arga hills. There is some excellent surf at the beach and, also nearby, is Caminha where there are restaurants and shops and ferry rides across the Minho river to Spain.
The contemporary interior of the house is minimalist and stylish. Sumptuous sofas and a modern, sleek kitchen give it a sense of luxury without being too ostentatious. The living areas are on the upper floor to take full advantage of the views, and there is a terrific terrace with outdoor furniture to really embrace the privileged position.
There is a generous pool terrace and lawned area and a covered area which is a great place for the young ones to play away from the sun.
