Stylish villa with outstanding sea views

Villa Augusta is a beautiful villa in the Caminha area. In an elevated position, there are gorgeous views of the ocean and the beach is just 3km away.

Inside, light floods into the living areas, which are open plan, and have French doors opening out to the decked alfresco dining terrace overlooking the swimming pool. 

Outside, there is a beautiful garden with a unique shaped swimming pool and, of course, the wonderful views.

Porto Airport is a 60-minute drive away and Vigo Airport about 50-minutes so the property is with easy reach and also close to the old roman town of Caminha which has great restaurants and bustling promenades along the riverside to enjoy. There are daily ferries linking the two banks of the Minho river and standing on a tiny island in the middle of the estuary are the ruins of the fort of Ínsua, built to defend the entrance to the river in the fifteenth century. There are other several sandy beaches within a short drive.

 

Please note, there is an unprotected drop from the decking area and the bedroom French windows so this villa is not suitable for families with children. Extra care should be taken by all guests. The approach to the villa is particularly steep so we recommend an automatic vehicle.

Augusta is very close to Gateira making these a good choice for larger groups wanting to holiday near each other.

“While the cobbled streets add character to Porto’s historic neighbourhoods, they can be challenging for those with mobility concerns. Navigating the city involves hills and uneven surfaces, which might pose difficulties for individuals with limited mobility or those pushing strollers. We recommend you wear comfortable footwear when exploring the city.”

Additional costs & information

  • Tourist Tax €1.50 per person, per night for all guests aged 16 and over for a maximum of 7 nights for stays between May - September. €1 per guest per night between Oct - Apr This will be charged at parity to cover processing fees.
  • Although the villa has a flexible arrival day we cannot leave too many empty days between bookings. Please always check with us to make sure the dates you require are acceptable.
  • Booking deposit 30% of the villa rental or £250, whichever is the greater amount.  Balance due 8 weeks before departure.
