About The Farmhouses

Lovingly converted farmhouses surrounded by vineyards

Set within a 210 acre wine estate in the hills, and within easy reach of the old roman town of Ponte de Lima, The Farmhouses consist of two stone properties, which have been completely renovated to create a restful retreat.

Many of the original features have been retained while incorporating modern conveniences, such as air conditioning and a modern kitchen. The interior is refreshingly simple, allowing the natural materials to take centre stage. Stone walls, wooden furniture and beamed ceilings create a rustic yet comfortable vibe.

Outside is a glorious celebration of the vineyard and countryside views. Guests can really connect with nature here. Lawned areas and a sun terrace surround the swimming pool and there are some covered areas for dining and escaping the sunshine.

Please note, the owners occasionally use the main house but the farmhouses are completely independent of this, and the owners are very respectful of guest's privacy. It is also a fully functional agricultural/wine estate so, whilst this adds to the authentic charm, guests may see workers on the estate from time to time who are also very respectul of guests.

There is an open staircase to the mezzanine so extra care should be taken with very little ones.

Things to Be Aware of

“While the cobbled streets add character to Porto’s historic neighbourhoods, they can be challenging for those with mobility concerns. Navigating the city involves hills and uneven surfaces, which might pose difficulties for individuals with limited mobility or those pushing strollers. We recommend you wear comfortable footwear when exploring the city.”

Additional costs & information

  • Pool Heating £238 per week. Minimum charge 1 week. Please note that we cannot guarantee the pool temperature. In general, pool heaters are installed and managed according to the size of the pool and health and safety guidelines but weather conditions, such as colder nights, rain and strong winds can affect the normally achievable temperature.
  • Although the villa has a flexible arrival day we cannot leave too many empty days between bookings. Please always check with us to make sure the dates you require are acceptable.
  • Booking deposit 30% of the villa rental or £250, whichever is the greater amount. Balance due 8 weeks before departure.
