A magnificent retreat for larger groups

The Bakers House is a fabulous restoration surrounded by pine trees and adorned in bougainvillea. Formally the baker's house, the property has been lovingly converted to combine traditional features with modern conveniences. Stone-clad walls, pretty coving and large shuttered windows complement the state-of-the-art furnishings. Each of the bathrooms has its own unique and colourful floor tiling, adding a touch of personality to each of the ensuites.

Rolling hills and verdant landscape surround the villa and it also benefits from stunning sea views. The main house has five ensuite bedrooms and there is a further annexe with bedroom and bathroom in the grounds. The modern kitchen has sleek, marble worktops and all the mod cons for cooking a feast for your family. This flows seamlessly into the dining area which has a relaxed, farmhouse feel and lots of natural light.

The Old Distillery has been converted into a chill-out and games area with table tennis, pool table and comfy seating.

The well-kept gardens are full of mature plants, fruit trees, a vegetable garden and lawned areas around the heated swimming pool. The spacious alfresco dining area has a barbecue and overlooks the pool and garden.

Afife town centre is a mere 1km away, where there are restaurants and shops, and the beach is about 2.5km away making this a great choice for those who want to combine a rural retreat with beach time.

Also nearby is Viana do Castelo which is steeped in medieval history. Impressive palaces, churches and monumental fountains are just some of the spectacles here and it is well worth a visit.

  • Pool Heating £245 per week. Minimum charge 1 week.Please note that we cannot guarantee the pool temperature. In general, pool heaters are installed and managed according to the size of the pool and health and safety guidelines but weather conditions, such as colder nights, rain and strong winds can affect the normally achievable temperature.
  • Cot £75 per week
  • Saturday arrival preferred in July & August. Alternative arrival on a request basis only to avoid leaving empty days between bookings. Please always check with us to make sure the dates you require are acceptable.Booking deposit 30% of the villa rental or £250, whichever is the greater amount. Balance due 8 weeks before departure.
