Modern and stylish retreat close to Dubrovnik Old Town
Villa Borna is an impressive property in Dubrovnik, just a 10 minute drive from the historic Old Town. Built in 1927 by the father of Dusab Popov who was a double agent and the inspiration for the character of James Bond, the property has been recently renovated and now offers the comforts and luxuries of a modern home.
Inside is beautifully stylish and incorporates some original features including a stone staircase which leads to the first floor.
Outside there is an inviting swimming pool, alfresco dining furniture, and chill out spaces to relax in the sunshine. The first floor has a large balcony enjoying stunning views of the surrounding neighbourhood and countryside. An immaculate lawned area is at the front of the property - care should be taken with young children here as there is an unprotected drop to the entrance steps.
Just across from the main house is the annexe which houses a games/fitness area, sauna and tavern with barbecue and atmospheric dining space. On the first floor is an apartment with a living area, kitchenette, double bedroom and shower room.

"We highly recommend a walk around the walls of Dubrovnik. For around 200 Kuna, you can walk the entire circumference of the city, taking in the spectacular views of the terracotta roofs, interesting architecture, stunning gardens and, of course, the Adriatic Sea beyond. The sea sparkles a beautiful blue and is practically transparent to the sea bed, apparently down to the high salt content, making it very unique indeed."
"Eating out in the Old Town, or just outside the walls, can be pricey, especially when the establishments boast such sensational views! However, it is possible to find cheaper places to eat and it is worth exploring the different areas of Dubrovnik such as Gruz and Lapad where you will find many more restaurants and bars to enjoy."
