A charming villa close to the beach
Casa do Praia is an adorable villa just 50 metres from Praia Grande beach and enjoys splendid views across the mouth of the Arado River towards the ocean. Formally a beekeepers cottage, the property has been completely refurbished into a well-equipped, chic-beach holiday home with three bedrooms and three bathrooms all on one level.
Outside, there is a partially shaded barbecue area, with dining furniture for eight people, where guests can enjoy the river and ocean views. The swimming pool has roman steps and can be heated at an additional cost and there are plenty of sun loungers to relax in the Algarve sunshine. There is also a sensational, raised viewing platform alongside the pool to enjoy the privileged ocean and beach outlook.
Casa do Praia is the smaller of two villas on the same estate that can be rented independently or together for larger groups. The other is Casa Infanta which accomodates 19 guests. Each is cacooned by pinewood trees offering natural privacy around the swimming pool area. There is also direct access to the beach below where guests can walk along to the charming waterside village of Ferragudo where there are a host of fresh fish and seafood restaurants.
Please note: There are some unprotected drops from various terraces and around the swimming pool so extra care should be taken with young children

"Ferragudo is renowned for amazing seafood restaurants and, as this region grows in popularity, there are now some atmospheric beach bars serving fish platters, barbecued food and cocktails. It’s the perfect place to watch the sunset. Boat trips and water sports can be booked at Portimao Marina – we highly recommend experiencing this area from the water as the coastline is very special."
"These resorts are further from Faro Airport so transfer by taxi is more expensive. We can arrange hire cars from the airport at competitive prices and we can supply local taxi company numbers for those nights out when no one wants to drive!"
