Fabulous villa near Pollensa
Tramuntana is in an excellent location in the countryside area of La Font, below the backdrop of the Serra Tramuntana mountains. Just a short drive from the beaches at Cala San Vicente or Puerto Pollensa, this is a perfect place to experience a country retreat and a seaside holiday all in one.
The original Majorcan house has been beautifully renovated and a new extension has been added, creating a stunning combination of traditional charm and modern touches.
The spacious, open-plan living/dining room has a dining table, comfortable sofas, a TV, an unusual fireplace, exposed beams and original stone walls. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors open onto the lovely, covered dining terrace, where there is also a fabulous barbecue and sink area.
The fully equipped kitchen is light and airy and has granite, marble-effect worktops and stylish cupboards creating a modern look. A feature window looks over the entire length of the house across to the pool area.
A staircase from the dining area leads up to the bedrooms. All have wooden floors and exposed beams, in keeping with the rest of the property. All the bedrooms have air conditioning (in line with local energy saving initiatives, the villa has timed air conditioning on all units from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 07:00 AM – these times cannot be extended and/or changed).
Outside there are natural, stone-coloured tiles covering both the terrace and lining the swimming pool which has wide Roman steps leading into the water. The small lawned area is ideal for children to play on and to one side is table tennis for sports enthusiasts.
Within the grounds and to the front of the house there is a fenced pond and a further lawned area with citrus trees.

"We particularly love the traditional Mallorcan fincas with stone walls, wooden beams and bags of charm, often with a mountain backdrop across vibrant green valleys. The scenery is quite something."
"Away from the main, tourist areas there are some stunning and secluded beaches just off the beaten track which are well worth exploring but, remember, not all of them will have facilities so make sure you pack provisions like water and snacks just in case."
